Cheap, toxic dyes and caused health issue
"Horrible dye order and the first time I used the boots it rained heavy while I was walking in NYC. Once I got back to my room and removed the boots and my socks, two of my toe nails where completely white, like they were frosted white, and the skin surrounding the toes where also white and scaly. None of my other toes had this happen and it’s never happened before. I saw a doctor in NYC and he said this is common when cheap, toxic dyes are used on leather goods and that my toes sitting in excessive moisture (wet) with these brand new boots caused a chemical reaction. It’s now been 6 days and my two toes are finally and slowly starting to clear up. I contacted the company and they told me that the chemical dyes they use are not toxic and could not have caused this. They also refused to take the boots back and give any refund. On a $400 boot? I guess it’s now a throw away. I’ll go back to Lucent and Vinci boots. More expensive but never once had a problem with them. Moral of the story is you get what you pay for with this company, and even though the boots had only 3 hours of use and caused a health problem they don’t want to take any responsibility. They’re only give a refund if new and never used, but how could I have known anything about their cheap, toxic dyes! Also, the boots arrived 7 days ago, problem happened the 1st time using them for 3 hours, and the horrible dye smell (like cheap leather jackets) hasn’t gone away. In fact, they are in my closet and the odor can be smelled in my bedroom 20 feet away. Much worse smelling in the closet. Never dealing with this company or the products they offer, again."
